Are biometric door locks secure?

We recommend that you choose a biometric lock which has two or three backup system activation. These backup activations include pin codes, physical key, and an RFID keycard.
How does a fingerprint lock work?
It works with similar electronic locks where it requires an electrical signal to activate the lock. The electrical signal is produced when the correct fingerprint is scanned.
Oftentimes, when there is a detection failure of the thumbprint, a mechanical key or digital keypad is there as a backup. Once you place your thumb on the optical scanner, your fingerprint will be scanned. If it is the right fingerprint, the device will send an electrical impulse to activate and unlock the door.
What happens when biometrics is locked?
When your biometric system is locked, check for its backup system such as a mechanical key or keypad where you can encode the pin code to unlock it.
